about

Cate Ferris is better known for her own solo and non Reggae material. This is the second release from Cate on Roots Garden records, originally issued on very limited 7" vinyl this track has proved to be one of the labels most popular and unique releases.
Brighton based singer/songwriter Cate Ferris, using a guitar, keyboard, loop station & drum, is captivating audiences across the South with her solo project - brilliant songs sung with an incredible voice. Folk and dark soul lie at the heart of her sound, and the acoustic instrumentation is tinged by hard hitting lyrics and intricate harmonies.

Hand-crafted and produced by Nick Manasseh, The Hustling Rhythm released in 2013 on vinyl and digital download featuring three solo artists and full length dubwise version. It's melancholic arrangement equipped with 70's drum machine sounds, synth bass and soulful guitar riffs walks the line between past and future styles.
Sun-I Tafari delivers a sombre and universally themed tale of urban survival, poverty and injustice. His soulful expression and conviction resonate in this "real life story".
Cate Ferris' enchanting voice and lyrics captivate, reminding us to waste no time in life and continue to pursue our dreams. "Just One Life, Blaze Bright".
Leroy Horns tenor saxophone takes the rhythm in a new direction with it's jazz fuelled style and deep meditative vibes.
