about

RGR:016 A - Brother Culture - Good Word
After the huge success of our 2006 release "Darker Side Of Town" (RGR002) we are excited to announce the second release from Brixton based recording artist and international sound system legend MC Brother Culture.
Originally featured as "Red Eye" from his acclaimed 2008 LP "Isis" (Dragonfly records), the track is now remixed and transformed by it's original creator, UK dub and reggae pioneer, producer Nick Manasseh.
Brother Culture's fast chat style and militant lyrics come spiritually equipped over this driving and sinister dancehall/roots backdrop. BC's stream of consciousness, and universally themed Rasta philosophy enters mystical realms as he chants against the dogma and wickedness that divide so many.
"why can't the people just get together?....Come out of the Synagogue the Mosque and the Church...."
RGR:016 B - Manasseh - Dub The Word
Manasseh delivers an atmospheric & heavyweight dubwise outing for the flip side. It's retro 80's drum sounds and deep keyboard bass line contrasted by futuristic synth lines, choral backing vocals and cinematic layers sure to keep dubheads nodding and roots dances rocking!
