about

Levi Rhythm info:Three vocals on the same rhythm track, plus dubwise instrumental version. Contemporay roots reggae one-drop style from producer Nick Manasseh. The rhythm track with its downtempo, contemporay, melodic and minimal vibes leaves plenty of room for the vocalists to get to work. Released on 7inch vinyl in June 2007 and quickly selling out of its initial press. This release gained great feedback from distributors, Press, DJ's and sound systems worldwide. Securing a top 10 spot in "Dub vendors" reggae chart (UK) and "Ernie'Bs" (USA) for two consecutive months. The track was featured on numerous radio shows incl: David Rodigan Kiss fm, Rob da Bank radio 1, Mark lamarre radio 2 and many more

Feat artists: Luciano is one of Jamaicas most popular contemporary reggae singers. with scores of hit tunes for most of the islands top producers plus international collaborations with the likes of The Jungle Brothers and others. His majestic vocal style and spiritual songs often compared to the late great Dennis Brown, he is often reffered to as "The Messenger". Ras Zacharri is a young and up and coming artist from Kingston Jamaica. His unique "singjay" vocal style and heartfelt lyrics gaining a lot of interest from producers and DJ's world wide. Jah Mali is an established Jmaican singer and accomplished songwriter with a career spanning well over a decade. His powerful and soulful vocal style gaining him numerous hits for Digital B, and Penthouse records amongst others.

Ava Leigh covers this late 80's obscure underground hit from the legendary Gregory Isaacs in fine style. Having long sold out of both it's original vinyl press and subsequent 2017 re-issue this version of the rhythm has proved to be one of the most popular gaining widespread airplay form the likes of David Rodigan and Rob Da Bank as well as reggae fans and sound system selectors worldwide.

Due to popular demand this this vocal version complete with a previously unreleased Dub mix from Manasseh has finally been made available fro fans to enjoy via their favourite digital platforms.

"The Ava Story, which is only just beginning, is already a triumph of an old Jamaican proverb – Who feels it, knows it. Though she's a devotee of a music made before she was born and a world away, mid-1970s Golden Age reggae, Ava's own breezy, sexy, sensitive spirit makes a much-loved sound fresh, and very much her own.

Helped by roots veterans like Sly and Robbie, and top UK sound men like Futurecut and Nick Manasseh, "Turned-on Underground" was recorded between Harry J's famous studio in Kingston, Jamaica, Nick's garden shed right by Glastonbury Tor and a basement studio in Brixton. Her vocal nuance and shimmering harmony show AVA appreciates all she's learned from old school greats like Marcia Griffiths and Dennis Brown. One of their favourites when Ava used to sing along with her Mum, an avid Jamaican music fan, while they did the housework in Chester, was Matumbi's lover's rock classic, 'After Tonight,' sweetly re-invented here by Ava together with Finley Quaye.
